ORR, Isabella W. - At her home in Bentonville, Ark. on May 23, 1906 the worn and weary spirit of Mrs. Isabella W. Orr left its earthly tabernacle for the "home not made with hands, eternal in the heavens." The deceased was born in Bedford, Ind. Sept. 24, 1832. For many long years she had been a great sufferer - God had laid His afflicting hand heavily upon her and led her through the fiery furnace but at last He said, "It is enough; come up higher," and the imprisoned spirit was released from its temple of clay. Fifty-seven years ago she gave her heart and hand in holy matrimony to Mr. R.P. Orr and became the queen of his home. Five children were given them, two of whom - Mrs. Stephen Boner and Mrs. Joseph Jones with Mrs. S.M. Clark, an adopted daughter and loved as a child, survive her. In early married life, with her husband, Mrs. Orr united with the Presbyterian Church and in all the years that followed proved to be a loyal, devoted member of that faith. Possessing a cheerful disposition, she was a dignified, unassuming lady and devoted to her friends. Industrious, thoughtful and sympathetic, she was ever ready to administer to the needy and distressed. Funeral services were conducted in the Presbyterian Church by the pastor, Rev. J.E. Wylie, after which we laid her body to rest in the city cemetery to await the resurrection morn. Thus has passed away a good Christian, a devoted wife, an affectionate mother and a true friend. J.E.W.
