Hern W. Archer, 84, 501 Mountain View, Springdale, died June 26 at Springdale Memorial Hospital. Born Jan. 17, 1892, in Wann, Okla., the son of William Fletcher and Domanda Ann Stephenson Archer, he was a member of the Phillips Chapel Freewill Baptist Church and a farmer.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Pearl Rice Archer of the home; two sisters, Mrs. Carrie Miles, Stockton, Calif., and Mrs. Emmerson (Pearl) Noland, Modesto, Calif.

Services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. in Sisco Chapel with burial in Morris Cemetery in Hindsville.

SPRINGDALE - Pearl Archer, 94, of Springdale died June 27, 2006, at Springdale. She was born Sept. 28, 1911, in Springdale to Absolum and Bertie Walker Rice. She was a homemaker and had worked for Allen Canning Co.

She was a member of Phillips Chapel Baptist Church and played the piano and taught Sunday school for more than 34 years. She enjoyed quilting, gardening and singing.

Survivors include Minnie Plazza of Springdale and several nieces and nephews including Mary Miles of Springdale and Howard Rice of Rogers.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Memorial Funeral Home in Springdale, online at www.memfuneral.com. The Rev. Eldon Bagwell and the Rev. Jason Scott will officiate.

Burial will follow in Morris Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home.
