Fountaine Bayer, 81, of Clinton, passed away Tuesday, February 5, 2008.
Born November 20, 1926 to the late Fount and Vinnie Holland, Mrs. Bayer was retired retailer who spent twenty-five years as the Sears Catalouge Merchant, and was known as "Granny" at the Red River Golf Club. She enjoyed sewing, cross-word puzzles, and sports.
She is survived by a son, John Bayer, two daughters, Billie Carolyn Edwards and Mary Johnson, two sisters, Mary Carolyn Yancey and Johnnie Thomas, seven grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of sixty-four years, James Earl Bayers, a son, Jimbo Bayer, and a sister, Billie Dove Holland.
A memorial service will be held at The First Baptist Church in Clinton Tuesday, February 12, at 11:00 AM.
