Ernie Loyd Hooten, 70, of Clinton died June 4, 2007. He was born October 20, 1936 at Shirley, the son of Ernest Hooten and Madgia Carroll. He was preceded in death by his father, Ernest.
He worked for 19 years for Arkansas State Electric, and then became a farmer. He was a Baptist.
Survivors are his wife, Janet Johnson Hooten of the home; children Joseph Loyd Hooten Sr. of Bigelow, Tommy Earl Hooten of Conway and Donna Jean Harder of Yellville; his mother, Madgia Hillie of Clinton; two sisters, Linda Sue Buckelew of Clinton and Glenda Lou Kidd of Morrilton, three grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
Services were held Wednesday, June 6 at Roller-McNutt Chapel in Clinton with Alan Rolen officiating. Interment was at Culpepper Cemetery by Roller-McNutt
