Tuesday, January 14, 1969
Springdale - William Clifton Winters, 54, of Sonora, died today in the Springdale hospital. Born Jan 14, 1915 in Paris, Tenn., he was a retired merchant, a veteran of World War II, a member of the American Legion and the Church of Christ.
Survivors are the widow, Mrs. Mildred Smith Winters of the home; one son, Clifton Eugene of Springdale; five brothers, Claude, Clayton, Robert and Nathaniel, all of Chattanooga, Tenn. and Glen of Waverly, Tenn.; one sister, Mrs. Wayne Puckett of Chattanooga and three grandchildren.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Sisco Funeral Chapel with burial in Sonora Cemetery.
