SPRINGDALE — James Earnest Laird, 79, of Springdale, Ark., passed away Monday, Feb. 6, 2012, in Springdale. He was born Sept. 29, 1932, in Wesley, Ark., to James Clarence and Effie (Manley) Laird.
He was a retired truck driver and a Baptist.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy; two daughters, Linda Weston of Springdale, Ark., and Rhonda Hulse of Nob Hill, Ark.; one son, Freddy Laird of Winslow, Ark.; two brothers; four sisters; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, Feb. 10, from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. at Nelson-Berna Funeral Home with a graveside service to follow at 11:30 a.m. at Sonora Cemetery.
