SPRINGDALE — Dale Addison Vaughan, 89, of Springdale died Thursday, March 17, 2011, at Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale.
He was born July 15, 1921, in Hindsville to Napoleon "Pode" and Bonnie Morriss Vaughan.
Mr. Vaughan was a dairy farmer and operated a Kraft milk route for 21 years. He enjoyed car races, restoring old cars, and fishing. He was of the Baptist faith and deeply loved by his family.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Stewart Vaughan in 1990; two sons, Charles Ross Vaughan and Michael David Vaughan; and by two daughters, Bonnie Arnold and Melissa Vaughan.
Survivors include eight children, Beverly Clinkscales and husband Larry of Springdale, Dale "Eddie" Vaughan of Springdale, Brenda Graves and husband Odell of Springdale, Pete Vaughan of Springdale, Sylvia Isley of Springdale, Johnny Vaughan and wife Lesa of Locust Grove, Okla., Marsha Vaughan of Springdale, and Steve Vaughan and wife Vicki of Springdale; two sisters, Julie Smith of Bentonville and Mary Able of Independence, Mo.; one brother, Lawton Vaughan of Springdale; 20 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, March 19, 2011, at Faith Assembly of God Church in Springdale. Visitation will be prior to the services beginning at 10 a.m. at the church. Pastors Tim O'Brien and Billy Burks will officiate.
Bearers will be his grandsons, Greg Smith, Dwayne Vaughan, Ronnie Ingram, Gary Vaughan, Anthony Vaughan, Jeff Vaughan, Derrick Beeks, Joe Beeks, and Josh Vaughan.
Memorial contributions may be made to Faith Assembly of God Church, 3053 W. Sunset Ave., Springdale, AR 72762.
