HINDSVILLE — Phyllis Ruth Joyner, 77, of Hindsville died July 25, 2008, at the Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale. She was born June 18, 1931, at Spring Valley to Harlan Floyd and Lucy Caroline Lawson Phillips. She was an employee of Levi Strauss & Co. before she began farming with her husband. She was a member of the Mount Zion Free Will Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert William Joyner on March 24, 2005.

Survivors include two daughters, Lucy Margaret McCool and husband Todd of Cave Springs and Melissa Annette Dysart and husband Charles of Hindsville; four stepsons, Lester Joyner and wife Charlotte and James Earl Joyner and wife Kelley, all of Hindsville, Larry Joyner and wife Beverly of Lookout and Gerald Joyner of Fayetteville; a stepdaughter, Sherry Harp of Farmingson; a brother, Claude Floyd "Sug" Phillips of Rogers; a sister, Ruby Nadine Phillips of Lowell; two grandsons; 11 stepgrandchildren and 14 stepgreat-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Brashears Funeral Home with the Revs. Earl Dean Morris and Arthur Lee Galloway officiating, online at www.brashearsfuneralhome.net. Burial will be in Bettis-Morris Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Loy Gene Phillips, Floyd Phillips, Gary Phillips, Brian Phillips, Don Phillips, Steve Phillips and Keith Phillips.

Honorary pallbearers will be Claud Phillips, Virginia Phillips, Ruby Clardy and Harold Clardy.

Memorials may be made to Bettis-Morris Cemetery in care of Ervin Phillips, 23397 Morris Cemetery Road, Hindsville, 72738.
