SPRINGDALE — Donald Andrew "Andy" Pelzl, 49, of Springdale, Ark., died Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2011, at the Willard Walker Hospice Home in Fayetteville. He was born Feb. 24, 1962, in Great Bend, Kan., to Donald Leon and Jeanene Elizabeth Wright Pelzl.
He enjoyed gardening and collecting arrowheads and Indian artifacts, and was a strong, reliable person.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Tyanna Pelzl; and a stepdaughter, Jennifer Roberts.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Vandagriff of the home, whom he married Aug. 22, 2002, in Fayetteville; his parents, Donald and Jeanene Pelzl of Tonganoxie, Kan.; a sister, Elizabeth Tiner of Tonganoxie, Kan.; a stepson, Clarence Roberts III and wife, Ivy, of Springdale; five grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 10 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 3, at Heritage Funeral Home in Springdale, followed by a graveside service at noon at Sonora Cemetery. Condolences may be sent to the family online at heritageofnwa.com.
