*Obituary
Dorothy Ford, age 63, of Russellville, died Friday, April 4, 2003, at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center. A daughter of the late Dan "Alley" and Gracie Garrison Shelton, she was born August 20, 1939, at Mayflower, Arkansas. She was a housewife, and a member of the Dardanelle Pentecostal Church of God. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by three brothers: Luther Shelton, Chester Shelton and Junior Allen Shelton; and a sister, Nancy Shelton. Survivors include her husband of forty-four years, L. D. Ford; four sons and a daughter-in-law: Jimmy Don Ford Sr., Billy Paul Ford, David Allen and Stacie Ford and Michael Thomas Ford, all of Russellville; two brothers and a sister-in-law: Jessie Shelton of Clarksville; and G. W. and Wathalyn Shelton of Dover; a sister and brother-in-law, Louise and Bob Carter of Russellville; a sister-in-law, Johnnie Meryle Shelton of Russellville; and three grandchildren: Gracie Nicole Ford, Tammy Lynette Ford and Jimmy Don Ford Jr., all of Russellville.
Funeral was held at 2 P.M., Tuesday, April 8, 2003, at the Dardanelle Pentecostal Church of God with Rev. John Whorton officiating. Burial was in Bowden Cemetery near Pottsville, by Shinn Funeral Service of Russellville.
