Mrs. Mary Celestine (Delph) Osler was born September 6, 1927 in Friendship, AR to the late Ernest Sr an Parthenia (Field) Delph. She was the second of seven children. Three siblings and one sister -in-law preceded her in death.

At an early age, she moved with her family to Menifee, AR where she proclaimed Jesus Christ as her personal Savior and later she united with Philadelphia Missionary Baptist Church. She received her early education in Friendship, AR and then went on to complete courses in the culinary arts.

Mary united in holy matrimony to Floyd Osler. To this union, they were blessed with three children: Mildred, Shirley, and Geraldine (Mildred preceded her in death).

Mary was employed in the culinary arts at Hendrix College in Conway, Arkansas until the time of her retirement.

Mary Celestine Osler departed this life on July 9, 2011 in Denver, CO.

She is survived by two daughters, Rev. Geraldine (Rev. Willie) Newberry of Trotwood, Ohio and Shirley Humphrey of Denver, Colorado, three brothers, Ernest Delph of Chicago, IL, Homer (Virginia) Delph of Dallas, TX, and Robert (Jo Ann) Delph of Denver, CO; 23 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren, two sisters-in-law, Bertha Faye Delph and Jean Delph of Menifee, AR and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.

Funeral service for Mrs. Osler will be Wednesday, July 20, 2011 at 1:00 P.M. at Philadelphia Missionary Baptist Church in Menifee, Arkansas by Dr. Aubrey G. Lewis, Sr.

Burial will be in Menifee Community Cemetery in Menifee.
