Springdale, July 9-(Special)- Elma Levinney Thrash, 42, died Friday at her home in the Sonora community. She was born July 11, 1908, and was a member of the Missionary Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Walter Thrash; her father, Forrest Moses, Bakersfield, Calif.; three daughters, Mrs. Betty Jean Laird, Morton, Kan., and Onita and Mary Ellen Thrash, of the home; two sons, Roy Thrash, of Dallas, Texas, and Wayne Thrash, of Venice, Calif.
Two step-children, E. W. Thrash, of Newark, and Mrs. Eunice Dickerson, of Lima, Ohio; three brothers, Clarence and Jeff Thrash, of Syracuse, Kan., and Albert Thrash of Los Angeles, Calif.; three sisters, Mrs. Mable Cole and Mrs. Hattie Phillips, of Bakersfield, Calif., and Mrs. Clara Bartlett; and five grandchildren.
Funeral services were to be held this morning at Joyce cemetery, with the Rev. George Deane officiating. Burial by Callison-Sisco Funeral Home, was to be in Joyce cemetery.
Pallbearers were Don Harp, John Harp, Frando Harp, Vernon Bilderback, Jake Bilderback and Ted Sanders.
