Services for 90-year-old Everett R. Wilbur of Lone Rock will be at 2PM Sunday at Lone Rock Baptist Church with the Rev. Doug Huskey officiating. Mr. Wilbur died Friday (Sep 15, 2000) at Veterans Hospital in Little Rock.
He was born Sep 4, 1910, in Lone Rock to Ben and Molly Smith Wilbur. He was a World War II US Marine veteran. He married Callie D. Bench on May 14, 1939, in Lone Rock. Mr. Wilbur was a retired logger and farmer. He was a lifelong resident of Lone Rock and enjoyed hunting. He was a lifetime member of the American Legion and was a member of the Lone Rock Baptist Chruch.
He is survived by his son, Milo Wilbur and wife, Marvell of Norfork; a daughter, Marlene Acklin and husband, Louie of Norfork; four grandchildren, Regina Fears, Deborah Wilbur and Matthew and Jason Acklin; six great grandchildren, Nicole and Luke Fears, Daniel and Amanda Cunningham and Cheyenne and Kelcy Acklin; a brother, Troy Wilbur and wife, Yvonne, of Sunnyside, WA; and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Wilbur was preceded in death by his parents, wife and two brothers.
Visitation will be from 6-8PM today at Roller Funeral Home with the family present.
Pallbearers will be Jason Acklin, Matthew Acklin, Harvey Hubbard, Daniel Cunningham, Ronnie Fears and Luke Fears.
Burial will be in Burnt Schoolhouse Cemetery.
Arrangements are by Roller Funeral Home.
