Inez Larise Green, 70, of Menifee, died Friday, Feb. 17, 2006.
She was born June 9, 1935, in Scott, a daughter of Payton and Arizona Hood. She was a member of Philadelphia Missionary Baptist Church and a graduate of Conway County Training School. She was the widow of Deacon Windell Green Jr. She retired from Hendrix College as a pastry chef. She was a member of the Menifee Women's Civic League.
Survivors include six sons, Gary Green and Jerry Green, both of Menifee, Lester Green of Clarksville, Shawn Green of Maumelle, Ralph Green and Jake Green, both of Conway; two daughters, Earline Smith of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Sherline Green of Menifee; three brothers, Aaron Hood and Bobby Hood, both of Menifee, and Theodore Hood of Morrilton; two sisters, Izola Shavers of Menifee and Jennie Johnson of St. Joseph, Mo.; 12 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were 11 a.m. Saturday at Philadelphia Missionary Baptist Church by the Rev. J. Dewayne Courtney. Burial was at Menifee Community Cemetery by Wilson and Jarrett Funeral Home, Inc.
Pallbearers were Terry Hood, Kenneth Hood, Maurice Sha-vers, the Rev. Anthony Oliver, Mack Gray, and Neal Hood. Honorary pallbearers were the deaconship of the church.
