Funeral services will be held for Mrs. Nora Ann Mead, 82, today, (Thursday) at 2PM at the Lone Rock Chruch of Christ. She was a native of Norfork and died Tuesday at Calico Rock. She was a member of the Church of Christ.
Mrs. Mead was born in Baxter County, Nov 22, 1894, to the late Carl Robert Beavers and the former Eva Cunningham. She was married to Samuel Edward Mead in Advance. She was proceded in death by her husband, who died in 1966, her parents and seven brothers.
Survivors included two daughters, Dorothy White and Arthie Acklin, both of Norfork; four sisters, Allie Smith of Isabell, MO, Callie Morrell of Mores Town, IN, Velma Dildy of Anderson, MO and Mary Durbin of Bakerville, CA; nine grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
Ervin Barnes will officiated the services. Pallbearers will be Lewis Bench, R.L. Henderson, Wade Hurst, Russell Rasor, Jess McGowan and Garland Woods.
Interment will take place at Burnt Schoolhouse Cemetery, under the direction of Roller Funeral Hoome of Mt. Home.
