Ernest W. Duvall, 84, of Longview, Texas departed this life for his Heavenly home on June 7, 2007, at Longview.

He was born January 15, 1923, at Atkins to Homer and Mary Ray Duvall. He served honorably during World War II and following his discharge from the service, he was self employed at several jobs prior to being employed by Brown and Root before retiring in 1988. He was a member of the Jay Valley Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Vern and Henry Duvall; and two sisters, Launa Wilkerson and Sue English.

Survivors include his wife, Eloise Usrey Duvall of Longview, Texas; a brother, Sam Duvall of Russellville; a sister, Betty Pate of Casa Grande, Arizona; and numerous nephews, nieces, and friends.

A graveside service was held at 2 p.m. on Monday, June 11, 2007, at Rest Haven Memorial Park with Pastor Don Rose officiating. Burial was in Rest Haven Memorial Park under the direction of Shinn Funeral Service.

There was a memorial service held in Longview, Texas for his friends there at 7 p.m. on Thursday, June 14, 2007, at the Southside Baptist Church.
