Mrs. Nora Belle Thomas, 84, of 435 Oliver, died Monday morning at her home following an extended illness. Born June 24, 1884 at Lockwood, Mo., the daughter of Hugh and Abby Gill Elderton, she was a member of Trinity Methodist Church and the widow of G.A. (Dolph) Thomas who died in 1951.
She is survived by six sons, Stewart of Elkins, Frank of Springdale, Allen of Odessa, Tex., Roy and Kenneth, both of Fayetteville and George of Farmington; three daughters, Miss Nellie Mae Thomas of the home, Mrs. Mary Evelyn Dixon of Kansas City, Mo., and Mrs. Dorothy Strange of Fayetteville; two sisters, Mrs. Louise Ritter of Aya, Mo. and Mrs. Nell Cox of Waterloo, Iowa; 20 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Trinity Methodist Church with burial in Evergreen Cemetery under the direction of Nelson's Funeral Home.
