CATOOSA, Okla. — Vernon M. Mills, 79, of Catoosa died Nov. 28, 2008, at St. John's Medical Center in Tulsa, Okla. He was born Feb. 14, 1919, in Brentwood to Clifford L. and Cora DeVore Mills.
He was a retired employee of Unit Rig. He was preceded in death by his wife, Billie Mills.
Survivors include one son, Mike V. Mills of Tulsa; three brothers, Gene Mills of Salina, Okla., Bob Mills of Marked Tree and Ray Mills of Fayetteville; a stepbrother, Bob Adams of Brentwood and a stepsister, Virgie Shackelford of Fayetteville.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Moore's Chapel in Fayetteville, online at mooresfuneralchapel.com.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Brentwood Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 901 N. University Ave., Little Rock, 72207.
