Chartered November 14, 1862
Located on the corner of Mason and Main Street

Galley Rock was an Arkansas River Steamboat Town.
Charter moved to Atkins, Arkansas, a new railroad town in 1876.

Civil War Col. Ben T. Embry Twice W.M. of Galley Rock Lodge 172 and was an extensive property owner. His great-granddaughter, Embry Scott Shoemaker, is a current resident and owner of the plantation.

This marker erected in memory of Noah Peak, M.M. Galley Rock Lodge 172 by his grandsons.

1921-1998 Joe Peak, 32' M.M. and current J.W. Atkins Lodge 172

The three grandsons were born and reared on this plantation.
