ELM SPRINGS — Christina Agnes Runyan, age 86, of Elm Springs, died Oct. 9, 2010, at Northwest Medical Center in Springdale. She was born Sept. 15, 1924, in Baltimore, Md., the daughter of Michael and Laura Kozik Sliwinski.

She was of the Catholic faith and retired as the head of the housekeeping department of the Holiday Inn in Springdale. She enjoyed crafts, cooking, number painting and sharing her great sense of humor with all of her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Runyan, in 1986.

Christina is survived by two sons, Arthur Runyan and his companion, Mike Amendolara, of Whitehouse Station, N.J., and Buddy Runyan and Diane Craig of Youngtown, Ariz.; three daughters, Diane Pell and Jack of Bowie, Md., Laura Downum of Elm Springs and Eva Kirk of Springdale; one brother, Frank Sliwinski of Pasadena, Md.; one sister, Anna Finch of Baltimore, Md.; 13 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Elm Springs United Methodist Church, with Pastor Carl Palmer officiating. Burial will follow in Elm Springs Cemetery under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home.
