SPRINGDALE — Reba Nell Underwood, 79, of Springdale, passed away Sunday, Oct. 16, 2011, at the Shiloh Nursing and Rehab in Springdale.

Reba was born on March 7, 1932, in Waltreak, Ark., a daughter of Thurman Damon and Stella Williams Damon. She married Paul Underwood in December 1951; he preceded her in death in 1988.

Reba was a member of the Ray of Hope Community Church in Nob Hill and enjoyed gardening, puzzles, sewing and antiques. Reba worked for Harps for numerous years as a cashier.

Survivors include one son, Mitch Underwood and wife, Pam, of Springdale; one daughter, Sheryl Henshaw and husband, Jerry, of Springdale; one brother, David Damon of Danville, Ark.; one sister, Becky Millard of Waldron, Ark,; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sons, Mike and Steve Underwood; and one sister, Jean Sliter.

Services will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 19, 2011, at 2 p.m. at the Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Chapel.

The Rev. Jerry Henshaw and the Rev. Pat Millard will officiate the service with burial following at the Elm Springs Cemetery under the direction of the Backstrom- Pyeatte Funeral Home of Springdale.
