J.C. Smith, 66, of Ozark died Saturday, July 2, 2005, in Ozark. He was an Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War, a member of the Coal Hill VFW and a former shop foreman of the Franklin County Road Department.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Shaffer Funeral Home Chapel with burial at Harmon Cemetery in Ozark.
He is survived by his wife, Shelba; two sons, Robert and James Smith, both of Ozark; two sisters, Hattie Heppard and Louise Schmit, both of Hartmon; a brother, Walter Smith of Ozark; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Family will visit with friends 6 to 8 p.m. tonight at the funeral home.

Shelba Sue Smith, 71, of Ozark, Arkansas, died Sunday, July 31, 2011, in Fort Smith, Arkansas. She was a homemaker and a Baptist.
She was born August 3, 1939 in Cass, Arkansas to Robert and Nellie Barham Durning.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband J.C. Smith.
Graveside Service will be at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, August 3, 2011 at Harmon Cemetery in Ozark with Reverend Coyce Couch officiating, with burial at Harmon Cemetery under the direction of Shaffer Funeral Home of Ozark.
She is survived by two sons, James K Smith of Ozark and Robert (Bobby) Smith and wife Sheila of Ozark; Four grandchildren, Brittany Smith, Melissa Smith, Samantha Smith of Ozark and Christina Presqrove Smith of Russellville.
