Joe S. Clark, 73, Rt. 1, Springdale, died July 8 in Springdale Memorial Hospital. Born Sept. 14, 1905, in Boxley, he was the son of Rufus and Lucy McGhee Clark. He was a blacksmith and farmer.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Daphne Griggs Clark of the home; a son, Willie J.D. Clark of Elm Springs; a daughter, Mrs. Ardell (Geneva)Pennington of Fayetteville; a brother, Leroy Clark of Columbus, Ga.; two sisters, Mrs. Flora Gage of Springfield, Mo., and Mrs. Cora Smith of Albuquerque, N.M.; three grandchildren.
ServicIs will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Sisco Chapel. Burial will be in Friendship Cemetery under direction of Sisco.

Mrs. Daphne Lydia Clark, 69, Route 1, Springdale, died July 13 in the Springdale Memorial Hospital. Born March 14, 1910, at Kingston, she was the daughter of the Rev. Jim and Scenia Moore Grigg, the widow of Joseph Samuel Clark and was a member of Regular Primitive Baptist Church in Elm Springs.
Survivors include one son, Willie J. D. Clark of the home; one daughter, Mrs. Geneva Pennington of Fayetteville; two sisters, Mrs. Lonnie Cook and Mrs. Ettie Thomas of Springdale; and three grandchildren.
Services were at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 17, in the Regular Primitive Baptist Church in Elm Springs with the Rev. Johnnie Sisemore officiating. Burial was in the Friendship Cemetery under the direction of Sisco Chapel of Springdale.
