James Harvey Clark, 88, of Springdale died Tuesday, Oct. 24 at Springdale Memorial Hospital. He was born Oct. 1, 1904, at Newton County, Ark., to Samuel and Joanna Smelley Clark. He was a member of Phillips Chapel Freewill Baptist Church and a 50 year member of Masonic Jasper Lodge #21 F.& A. M.

Survivors are his wife, Delma B. Clark of the home; three sons, Melvin E. Clark of Springdale, Willard N. Clark of Independence, Mo., and Orvil E. Clark of Berryville; two daughters, Myrtle F. Davenport of Bentonville, and Reeva M. Clark of Springdale; a brother, William F. Clark of Springdale; two sisters, Cleo Armer and Mettie White, both of Springdale; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Funeral will be held Tuesday, Oct. 27 at 10 a.m. at Sisco Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Loy Counts, the Rev. Rudell Smith and the Rev. Cecil Garrison officiating. Burial will be in Friendship Cemetery.

Delma B. Clark, 94, of Sfringdale died Saturday, Aug. 7, 2004, at her home. She was born Dec. 16, 1909, in Kingston to William Isaac and Mary LoDuska Kesner Armes. Mrs. Clark was a homemaker, enjoyed cooking, sewing and handwork. She was a member of Phillips Chapel Free Will Baptist Church and Order of the Eastern Star.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James H. "Jim" Clark, in 1972 to whom she was married Dec. 19, 1926; also by three sons, Melvin, Millard and Orvil Clark; one brother; and three sisters, including her twin sister.

She is survived by two daughters, Myrtle Davenport and husband Charles, and Reeva Clark, all of Springdale; three daughters-in-law, Ruby Clark of Springdale, Imogene Clark of Independence, Mo,, Joetta Clark of Berryville; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 10, at Sisco Funeral Chapel in Springdale with the Rev. Jason Scott and the Rev. Loy Counts officiating. Interment will be at Friendship Cemetery.

Visitation will begin at noon today, Aug. 9, with the family present from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Eddie Clark, Harvey Clark, Newell Clark, David Clark. Dwayne Clark and Craig Ratterree.

Honorary pallbearers will be Randy Brown, Sam Clark, Tommy Ratterree, the Rev. Jim Spurlock, Kenneth Armes and Charles White.

Memorial contributions may be made to Circle of life Hospice, 610 E. Emma Ave., Springdale, 72764.
