Moses Canada Freeman died,leaving Rebbecca with 5 children to raise. Later, she married John C. Bench, a widower with 5 children. Rebbecca and John had 5 children. Rebecca raised 15 children.

Mrs. Rebecca Elizabeth Bench, aged 91, died Sunday evening at her residence near Advance, in the south part of Baxter County. Funeral services were scheduled at 2PM yesterday in the Burnt Schoolhouse, with Bro Arthur Davis , minister of the Mt. Home Church of Christ officiating. Interment was in the Burnt Schoolhouse Cemetery with the Roller Funeral Service in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Bench was born July 1, 1869, in St. Louis, MO. Her parents were the late Ebb Newton and Nancy Jones Newton. She lived in this area most of her life, and was a member of the Church of Christ.
Mrs. Bench, whose descendants number 129, is survived by four son, Walter Freeman, Calico Rock, Frank Freeman, Mt. Home, John Freeman, Turner, OR and Corbie Bench of Norfork; five daughters, Velma Meade, Citrus Heights, CA, Madde Roby, Tulsa, OK, Nellie Martin, Bloomfield, MO and Callie Wilbur and Pearl White, both of Norfork; 43 grandchildren; 72 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren.
