Richard H. Shaw, 76, of Springdale died Sunday, Nov. 12, 2006, at Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale.

He was born March 12, 1930, in Elmira, N.Y., to the late Bert and Josephine Weaver Shaw.

He retired from Southwestern Bell Telephone Co, in Fayetteville on May 1, 1985, after 36 years and was a member of the Telephone Pioneers. He served in the Air Force during the Korean War. He was a member of the 188th Arkansas Air National Guard in Fort Smith. He was a Methodist.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Maxine Struble Shaw of the home; one son, Jeffrey Shaw and wife Mary of Rogers; one daughter, Susan Mahan and husband Billy of Springdale; three grandchildren, Lindsey Mahan, Marisa and Austin Shaw; one stepgrandson, Brent Mason and wife Stephanie of Little Rock; one stepgreat-grandson, Cameron Mason; one brother, Edward Shaw of Elmira; one sister, Martha Johnson of Houston.

A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 14 at Friendship Cemetery east of Springdale with Chaplain Chuck Bengtson officiating.

The family requests in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to Circle of Life Hospice, 901 Jones Road, Springdale, 72762.

There is no visitation.

SPRINGDALE — Maxine D. Shaw, 79, of Springdale, Ark., died Sunday, June 24, 2012, in Springdale. She was born June 6, 1933, in Midland, Ark., the daughter of Daniel Struble and Grace Harris Struble.

Survivors include one son, Jeffrey of Fayetteville; daughter, Susan and husband, Billy Mahan, of Springdale; four grandchildren, Lindsey Smith and husband, Codi, Marisa and Austin Shaw, Brent Mason and wife, Stephanie; and five great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 27, 2012, at Friendship Cemetery, east of Springdale, with Chaplain Chuck Bengtson officiating and under the direction of Moore's Chapel.

No visitation is scheduled.

The family requests in lieu of flowers memorials be made to Circle of Life Hospice, 901 Jones Road, Springdale, AR 72762.
