SPRINGDALE — Effie Mae Price, 75, of Springdale, died Monday, Feb. 13, 2012, at her home. She was born Oct. 11, 1936, in Plainview, Ark., to Calvin and Beulah Spainhouer Freeman. Effie was a LPN at Springdale Memorial Hospital, later Northwest Medical Center for many years. She was a member of Robinson Avenue Church of Christ in Springdale.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Effie Mae Price; one grandson, Jamie Mathews; and one brother, James L. Freeman.
She is survived by her husband, James Price of the home; one son, Mitchell Price of Elkins; four daughters, Glenda Peters of Bella Vista, Marsha Eubanks and husband, Jimmy, of Wesley; Tricia Butler and husband, Mike, of Springdale, and Mary Embry and husband, Richard, of Hindsville; 10 grandchildren, Heather Corporon and husband, Will, Leigh Combs and husband, Jeremy, Rebekah Mathews, Rachael Mathews, Chris Butler and wife, Alicia, Sara White and husband, Josh, Dalton Price, Joseph Embry and wife, Sarah, Julie Evans and husband, Dakota, and Leslie Embry; seven great-grandchildren, Alli Golden, Hanna Golden, Samuel Golden, Maggie Golden, Olivia Corporon, Peter Hazzard and Gabe Combs.
Funeral services will be Thursday, Feb. 16, 2012, at 2 p.m. at Sisco Funeral Chapel of Springdale, with Harry Fitzgerald officiating. Burial will be in the Friendship Cemetery. Visitation will be today, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Arkansas Children's Hospital, 1 Children's Way, Little Rock, AR 72202-3591; or Robinson Avenue Church of Christ Missions, 1506 W. Robinson Ave., Springdale, AR 72764.
