W.J. Caudle, 74, of Mayflower died Wednesday (March 7, 2001) at UAMS Medical Center.
Born June 19, 1926, in Atkins (Pope County), son of the late Monroe and Vianna Patterson Caudle, he was an employee of the Rock Island Pacific Railroad.
He was preceded in death by the mother of his children, JoAnn Kendrick Caudle; a son, Randy Dale Caudle; and a brother, Bill Caudle.
Survivors are his wife, Alpha Honeysuckle Caudle; five sons, Carroll Don Caudle, Paul Ray Caudle, Laney Wayne Caudle, Michael Lynn Caudle and John Mark Caudle, all of Mayflower; a daughter, Martha Ann Caudle Hance of Mayflower; two stepsons, Dick Tew and Johnny Tew; a stepdaughter, JoAnn Suiter; 14 grandchildren; nine stepgrandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; 30 stepgreat-grandchildren; and great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Griffin Leggett-Conway with the Rev. Leon Troutman and Bob Wickliffe officiating. Burial will be in New Liberty Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Jason Caudle, Jared Caudle, Paul Caudle, Jeffery Caudle, Clinton Caudle, Christopher Caudle, Howard Caudle and Olan Caudle.
