SPRINGDALE — Betty Mae Medlin, 81, of Springdale died March 27, 2005, at Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville. She was born Oct. 8, 1923, in Ellendale, N.D., to Hubert H. and Leona Hicks Lee.
She was a retired nurse's aide and had operated a child- care center. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Springdale and was a past assistant ministry teacher for her Sunday school class. She enjoyed sewing, gardening and cooking.
Survivors include her husband of 57 years, Ezra Medlin of the home; two sons, Roger Medlin of Upton, Calif., and Terrel Medlin and wife Janet of Lowell; four daughters, Judy Rogge of Springdale, Verna Landreth and husband Roy of Broken Bow, Okla., Martha Hurd of Fayetteville and Rita O'Dell and husband J.R. of Cleburne, Texas; three brothers, Thomas Lee of Bentonville, Bob "Robert" Lee of Springdale and Donald "Don" Lee of Springdale; two sisters, Murriel Murrell of Springdale and Esther Parson of Bentonville; 13 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the First Baptist Church in Springdale with the Rev. Charlie Foster officiating. Burial will follow in Friendship Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Memorial Funeral Home in Springdale.
Pallbearers will be Raydell Robertson, Lindsey Edwards, Keith Watson, Polk Knight, Norman Crowder and Willy Taylor.
Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Heritage Bible Class at First Baptist Church in Springdale.
