John Thompson, 89, of Rogers died Thursday, May 17, 2007, at the Earlene Howard Hospice House. He was born Oct. 28, 1917, in Hartford to John and Myrtle Clayborn Herman Thompson.

He was a lumber manager for Flex Steel. He was a member of St. Paul's Methodist Church in Harrison.

He was preceded in death by one son, Robert Thompson, and two brothers.

Survivors include his wife, Boe Thompson of the home, to whom he was married July 18, 1985; four sons, Johnny Thompson of Harrison, William Thompson of Springdale, Ben Thompson of Fayetteville and Norm Thompson of Ponte Verda, Fla.; two daughters, Jeanette Lowe of Fort Smith and Virginia Schulze of West Fork; 10 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday, May 21, at Sisco Funeral Chapel in Springdale with Pastor Dean Lowman officiating. Burial will be in Friendship Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Greg Lowe, Mark Thompson, Brett Thompson, Mark Bryant, Chad McClernon and Terry Carson.

Memorials may be made to Circle of Life Hospice, 901 Jones Road, Springdale, 72762.
