SPRINGDALE — Harold Read, age 71, of Springdale, died Dec. 19, 2010, in Little Rock. He was born March 22, 1939, in Newark, N.J., the son of Cyril T. and Wilhelmina Stockinger Read.
He was of the Baptist faith and a former real estate salesman. He was retired from the United States Air Force. He enjoyed square dancing and traveling.
He is survived by four daughters, Norma Hope Lynch of Bella Vista, Ark., Holly Richardson and John of Fort Worth, Texas, Donna Read Farmer and Tony of Saluda, N.C., and Linda Ganoung and Mike of Fayetteville; one stepdaughter, Anita Grimm of Fayetteville, Ark.; one stepson, Tony Hull of Fayetteville, Ark.; two brothers, Robert Read of Long Valley, N.J., and Raymond Read of Newport Richie, Fla.; 12 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 23, 2010, at Memorial Funeral Chapel, with Don Hippe officiating. Burial will follow at Friendship Cemetery under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home.
