BIG SPRING, Texas — Jonathan J. Stone, 58, of Big Spring died Jan. 20, 2006, in Big Spring. He was born March 31, 1947, in Springfield, Mo., to Lester and Stella Epps Stone. He was retired from the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Fayetteville. He was an Army veteran and a member of the Big Spring Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Thelma Stone of the home; one son, Brian Stone of Lowell; one daughter, Paula Michelle Hunter of Pittsbung, Kan; one brother, Charles N. Stone of Chetopa, Kan.; one sister, Ruby Young of Springfield; his mother of Chetopa; two grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Nelson-Berna Funeral Home in Fayetteville, online at www.nelsonberna.com. Clark Snow will officiate.
Burial will follow in Friendship Cemetery in Springdale.
Visitation will he from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. The family will be present from 6 to 8 p.m.
