Mrs. Ida Belle Sowell, 70, of Conroe, Texas, formerly of Vilonia, died Saturday (May 29, 1982) at her home.
She was the widow of Orner Buford Sowell, who died Aug. 23.
Mrs. Sowell was born Dec. 11, 1911, a daughter of Charlie and Jennie Roberts Stocks. She was a member of Mount Carmel United Methodist Church at Vilonia.
Survivors are a son, Jimmy Sowell of Conroe; five daughters, Mrs. Sybil Baker of Cleveland, Texas, Mrs. Nancy Bridges of Spring, Texas, Mrs. Tommye Bullmer of Pearland, Texas, Mrs. Judy Sembera of Houston, Texas, and Mrs. Vickie Freeman of Deer Park, Texas; two brothers, Henry Stocks of Vilonia and Wesley Stocks of Little Rock; three sisters, Mrs. Linnie Sellers of North Little Rock, Mrs. Leona Fiddler of Amarillo, Texas, and Mrs. Mildred Ridgeway of Ward (Lonoke County), and 11 grandchildren.
Funeral services were Tuesday (June 1) at Mount Carmel United Methodist Church. Burial was in Cypress Valley Cemetery, by McNutt Funeral Home.
