Charles Daniel Bridges, 70, passed away peacefully September 8, 2010 in Palestine, Texas. He was born September 23, 1939 in Conway, Arkansas to Opie and Lorene Bridges. He was a longtime residence of Houston before retiring in Palestine. He was preceded in death by his parents, his step-daughter Ruthie Foster and granddaughters Amanda Mathews and Miranda Dugger. He is survived by his loving devoted wife Susan and children; Kathrine Bridges of Houston, Donald Bridges and significant other David Wolverton of Dallas, step-children; Russell Busby of Allen and Catherine Mathews and husband Thomas of Newnan, GA. and five grandchildren. A memorial service for Charlie Bridges will be at 2:00 PM Saturday, September 11, 2010 at the First Presbyterian Church, with Rev. Linda Herron officiating.
