Mary Alice Rake, 74, of Ozark died Sunday, Sept. 30, 2001, in her home. She was born Nov. 18, 1926, in Pilot Grove Community. She was a homemaker, a former restaurant owner and manager, and was a Baptist. Funeral will be 2 p.m. Wednesday in Shaffer Funeral Home Chapel in Ozark with burial at Pilot Grove Cemetery in Ozark. She is survived by three daughters, Mary Sue Petty of Little Rock, Shirley Davis and Sarah Halmes, both of Ozark; three stepdaughters, Renae Seago of Corrigan, Texas, Nancy Clarke of Austin, Texas, and Melinda Tybor of Wimberly, Texas; four sons, James and Bill Hill, both of Clarksville, Dennis Hill of Ozark, and David Hill of Dardanelle; 21 grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Patrick, Josh, Matt and Andy Hill, Tyler Halmes, Mike Ford and Kirby Vandeman. Memorial contributions may be made to Pilot Grove Cemetery Fund, c/o Bob Harris, Red Oak Drive, Ozark, AR 72949. Times Record Online
