Evelyn Mayhan Davis, age 91, of Hot Springs, died Sunday, February 16, 2014.
She was born on August 15, 1922 in Little Rock, the daughter of Leander Mayhan and Hazel Edwards Mayhan. She attended Central High School and Little Rock Junior College. On April 4, 1943, she married Charles William Davis and they lived many years in Park Ridge, Illinois before retiring to Hot Springs. She was preceded in death by her husband on January 17, 2006; her parents; and her sister, Virdelle Witt.
Evelyn was a homemaker.
She is survived by one son of Hot Springs; one daughter of Fairfield, Connecticut; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews; and a host of wonderful friends.
Graveside services will be held at 11:30 AM on Friday, February 21, 2014 in the Thompson Chapel Cemetery, near Amity, with Chaplain David "Doc" Kenser officiating.
Pallbearers will be Paul Scofield, Josh Scofield, Clay Farrar, Steven Kirsch, and P. J. Weber.
