Kate Finley was born in Izard Co. March 18, 1857, and departed this life June 6, 1931. She was married to T.H. Finley in 1878 and to this union was born seven children, all of whom survive her. They are Brewer Finley, Detroit, MI, Dyer Finley, Oklahoma City, Mrs. R.B. Lancaster and Jackson Finley, Broken Arrow, OK, Walter Finley and Maston Finley of Advance, AR; two brothers, J.C. Perry Advance, AR and J.T. Perry, Broken Arrow, OK.
She was a member of the Christian church and lived as consistent Christian life. She was loved by all who knew her and may her soul find as sure a place at the throne above as did her life in the hearts of those who knew her here, where her place is vacant still. Written by her niece, Mrs. T.E. Robertson.
