MYERS, Lucy Ann GARRETT Osborn - (from Little Flock} Lucy Ann Garrett, daughter of Simeon and Mary E. Garrett, was born in Missouri May 26, 1853; removed with her parents to Benton county, Arkansas and settled on a farm near Rogers where she grew to womanhood and married George Grant Osborn Dec. 5, 1869 and lived many years near Little Flock Baptist church north of Rogers. After the death of her husband she was remarried to Samuel P. Myers July 13, 1890 and with him removed to a farm near Harmon, Washington county, about 1902 where she remained until her death Aug. 22, 1931 at the age of 78 years, 2 months, 26 days. She was a consistent member of the Primitive Baptist church for many years and was well and favorably known throughout her career. She leaves to mourn her loss her husband, Samuel P. Myers of near Harmon, Washington county; a son, Wayne L. Osborn of Thomas, Okla.; a daughter, Mrs. Dora Lovelace of Tulsa, Okla.; a step-son, Miller Myers of Fayetteville; a sister, Mrs. Jane Ferguson of Cave Springs; 13 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and many relatives and friends. One son, David H. Osborn; two daughters, Mrs. Ida M. Damron and Mrs. Effie E. Myers, preceded her in death several years ago. Funeral services were conducted at the Little Flock Baptist church north of Rogers at 10 a.m. Aug. 24, conducted by the pastor, Elder E.O. Koons, and the remains laid to rest in the Little Flock cemetery.
