Ewell B. Sowell, 83, of Vilonia died Saturday (Sept. 4, 1999) at Conway Regional Medical Center.
Born Nov. 17, 1915, in Vilonia, son of the late John W. and Birdie Skillem Sowell, he was a retired farmer and truck driver.
He was an Army veteran of World War II and a member of Center Point Freewill Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon.
Survivors are his wife, Mildred Sowell; two sons, Dale Sowell and Mike Sowell, both of Vilonia; three brothers, Ira Sowell of Vilonia, Ruby Sowell of Benton and Elmer Sowell of Searcy; three sisters, Hazel Stufflebeam and Rayda Stanley, both of Conway, and Lucille Arendall of Vilonia; and three grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Center Point Freewill Baptist Church with the Rev. Joe Engdahl officiating. Burial will be in Cypress Valley Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Tommy Fowlkes, Roy Gunter, Bud Bostic, Larry Bonnema, Bob King and Ryan Engdahl.
Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. today at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home.
