Ferdinand 'Phil' Bocksnick, 74, of Dover, AR, died Wednesday, July 28, 2004 at Legacy Lodge Nursing Home in Russellville, AR. The son of Bruno and Pearl (Finnell) Bocksnick, he was born January 28, 1930 in Keo, AR. He was a United States Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict and a Heavy Equipment Operator. Phil was preceded in death by his wife, Wilma (Sherman) Bocksnick; his parents; one brother, Louis Bocksnick and one sister, Jewel Matthews.

Survivors include four sons, Randy Bocksnick of Dover, Randy Bocksnick of London, Phillip Bocksnick of Coffeeville, Jimmy Bocksnick of Conway; one step son, Josh Freeman of Dover; one daughter, Terri Walker of Concord; one step daughter, Laryssa Row of Hariman; seven grandchildren, two great grandchildren, 4 step grandchildren; 4 brothers, Amel Bocksnick of Russellville, Herman Bocksnick of Russellville, Bruno Bocksnick of Dardanelle, Willie Bocksnick of London.

Funeral services was held at 10 A.M. Saturday, July 31, 2004 at the Humphrey Chapel. Rev. Danny Fudge will officiate. Burial was at Lane Cemetery at Dover, by Humphrey Funeral Service.

Wilma Sherman Bocksnick, age 52, of Dover, died Wednesday, May 7, 2003, at her home.

She was born April 12, 1951 at Scottsville and was a daughter of the late William Burl Sherman, Sr. and the late Nellie Kraus Sherman. She was co-owner and operator of Bocksnick Mobile Home Park and was of the Assembly of God faith. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Burl Sherman, Jr. and a sister, Easter Mae Churchill.

Survivors include her husband, Phil Bocksnick; a son and daughter-in-law, Josh and Cicelie Freeman of Dover; a daughter and son-in-law, Laryssa N. and John Rowe of Dover; a brother and sister-in-law, Paul and Flo Sherman of Dover; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Virginia and Roy Goates, Jr. of Pelsor and Flo and John Lamb of Dover; three step-sons, Ricky Bocksnick of Dover, Randy A. Bocksnick of London and Phillip Bocksnick of Russellville; a step-daughter, Teresa Walker of California; three grandchildren, John William Wood, Trevor Kylan Rowe and Kaitlyn Rowe.

Funeral service was 2 P. M., Friday, May 9, at Shinn Chapel, with Rev. Roy Goates, Jr. and Rev. Arlen Elmore officiating. Burial was in Lane Cemetery by Shinn Funeral Service.

Pallbearers were Scotty, Randy and Kevin Little, Sherman Goates, Marc Taylor and Tim Mitchell. Honorary pallbearers were Brenda Sherman and the Doctors and Nurses of the River Valley Kidney Center.
