James William Honeycutt, 61, of Dover, died Tuesday, March 4, 2008, at his home.

He was born November 22, 1946, at Russellville to Bill Honeycutt and Evelyn Marie Owens Dornan. He was a chef at the Old South Restaurant for 20 years, worked for Innovation Industry for 15 years, and was of the Baptist faith. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and riding his grandchildren on his four-wheeler. He was preceded in death by his parents; his step-father, Elmer Eugene Dornan; and a sister, Wilma Taylor.

Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Linda Honeycutt of Dover; twin sons and their wives, Jerry and Christy Honeycutt and Terry and Rachel Honeycutt, all of Dover; three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Jimmy Dornan of Russellville, Bobby and Ann Dornan of Dover, and Dennis and Laura Dornan of Russellville; two sisters, Rita Smith of Pottsville and Cathy Meadows of Russellville; four grandchildren, Jacob Levi, Ashley Nicole, Lindsay Grace, and Matthew James Eual Honeycutt; and numerous nephews and nieces.

The funeral was held at 2 p.m. on Monday, March 10, 2008, at Shinn Chapel with the Rev. Jessie Chronister officiating. Burial was at Brock Cemetery in northern Pope County, under the direction of Shinn Funeral Service.

Active pallbearers will be James Dornan, Johnny Taylor, Ricky Richard, Robby Pfeifer, David Branch, and Jessie Branch. Honorary pallbearers will be C. L. Ford, Gerald Ford, and Jody Via.
