Sandy Annette Durning, 55 , of Ozark, Arkansas, died, Monday, January 6, 2013 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. She attended West Park Baptist Church in Ozark and was a cosmetologist and owner and operator of Hair Master Style Center in Ozark. She was born July 16, 1957 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Seldon, Sr. and Lillian Mae Barnes Childers. She was preceded in death by her father.
Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, January 9, 2013 at Shaffer Funeral Home Chapel in Ozark with Brother Troy Vaughn officiating with burial at Belt Cemetery in Ozark, under the direction of Shaffer Funeral Home.
She is survived by her husband, Michael Durning of Ozark; her mother, Lillian Mae Barnes Childers; one daughter, Mikaela Akers and husband V.J. of Lavaca; two sons, Nick Durning and wife Gina and Josh Durning and wife Ouita all of Ozark; three sisters, Linda Childers of Fort Smith, Lori Spradling of Alma, Arkansas and Franny Spencer of Fort Smith; three brothers, Seldon Nick Childers, JR, of Clarksville, Arkansas and Robert and Richard Childers both of Fort Smith; five grandchildren, Brooklyn and Carson Akers and Railey, Keystan and Payten Durning, all of Ozark.
The family will visit with friends from 6:00 – 8:00 PM, Tuesday, January 8, 2013 at Shaffer Funeral Home 2315 W. Commercial in Ozark.
