The son of James W. and Betty Trego Barnes.
He was retired from the U.S. Navy, he was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Dugan and Kelly Barnes.
Survivors include his wife Gail; three sons, James Barnes and Craig Alderson both of Ozark, and Rick Alderson of Delaware, Ohio; one grandchild.
Graveside service will be Satureday at Belt Cemetery, with military honors.
Pallbearers will be Craig and Richard Alderson, Travis and Raign Ragsdale, J.J.Kervin and Art Conklin.
