Samuel Keith Haygood, 48, of Vilonia, died Saturday, June 06, 2009. Keith was born Sept. 4, 1960, in Corinth, Miss., to Dan and Sue (Wilbanks) Haygood.
Keith was a member and deacon at Vilonia's First Baptist Church. He worked as a staking engineer for First Electric Cooperative out of Jacksonville. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and water skiing. He was a great husband and dad.
Keith is survived by his wife of 21 years, Lori (Ellis) Haygood of Vilonia; son, Kade; and daughter, Victoria, both of the home; his parents; sisters, Carol Penix and husband Buddy of Newport and Kelly Thomas and husband Stan of Maumelle; and in-laws, Riley Paul and Barbara Ellis of Wynne. He is preceded in death by grandparents, Roy and Vera Wilbanks and Mable Haygood.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at First Baptist Church of Vilonia, officiated by the Rev. John Hamby. Burial will follow at Cypress Valley Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Carroll Morton, Randy Everett, Randy Jones, Jon Joyce, Rick Hoyt, Mark Urena, Tim Baggett, Rufus Patterson and Mike Maddox. Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the church.
