MINNICK, Halley E. - Halley E., the 16-year old son of M.A. Minnick and wife of this city, died at midnight Saturday as a result of an attack of appendicitis. He had been sick only ten days and an operation was performed Thursday but it failed to relieve him. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock at the Christian church and were conducted by the pastor, Rev. J.P. Dillon. The deceased was born in Rogers February 21, 1892 and had lived here all his life. He had been employed for some time at the Rogers roller mills and was a steady and faithful young fellow. He was a member of the Christian church and had proved faithful to his obligations with a steadfastness that give much promise of a useful life. His sudden and untimely death was a great shock to the family and to his many friends but they are comforted by the knowledge that he was not afraid to die and had absolute confidence in the promise of his Master.
