Leonard Wayne Dockins of Calico Rock, Arkansas
Leonard Wayne Dockins, son of the late James Sanford Dockins and Omah Amba Jones Dockins, was born November 10, 1938 in Wideman, Arkansas. He departed this life January 4, 2014 in Calico Rock, Arkansas at the age of 75 years, 1 month and 28 days. He spent his life as a son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, provider and friend. During his working years he was employed by the Pueblo Army Depot in Pueblo, Colorado. Retiring after many years of employment. He was of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by two sons: Jimmy Dockins of Pueblo, Colorado and Billy Joe Dockins of Canon City, Colorado; two daughters: Joanie Dockins and Sarah Dockins both of Canon City, Colorado; one brother: Melvin Dockins of Neosho, Missouri; three sisters: Verline Krause of Indianapolis, Indiana, LaVerne Thomason of Bloomfield, New Mexico and Gaye Williams of Pineville, Arkansas; 7 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and many good friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister: Doyce Wayland.
Funeral service will be Thursday, January 9 at 2:00 p.m. at Grace Fellowship Church in Dolph, Arkansas with Tom Macy officiating. Burial will be at Wayland Arbor Cemetery under the direction of Eddie’s Family Funeral Home in Calico Rock, Arkansas. Visitation will be Wednesday, January 8 from 6-8 p.m. at Grace Fellowship Church in Dolph, Arkansas.
Pallbearers: Shane Dockins, Blake Dockins, Jeremy Hardin, Jim Richardson, Bret Williams and Andy Sanders.
