osephine Piggee Johnson, 87, of Conway, departed this life June 1, 2012 in Conway, AR. She was born on June 16, 1924 in Mayflower, AR to the late Maytie Gaddy Piggee and Lenox Piggee.
She worked at Abundant Blessing Child Care through the Foster Grandparent Program for several years. She was a member of Salem Missionary Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Jake Johnson of Conway; two sons, Roy (Shirley) Piggee and Jake (Tracy) Piggee, Jr., both of Conway; Six daughters, Virginia Edwards, Elva Dean Hampton, Minnie (Samuel) Woodard, Lesterine (John) Umonah, Julie (Henry) Smith, and Barbara Johnson, all of Conway; One brother, Moses (Rose Ida) Piggee of Conway; and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A special thanks to Dr. Shavers, Dr. King, Devita Dialysis Center Nursing staff and Patient Care techs and Hospice Homecare.
Funeral services will be 2:30 pm Saturday, June 9, 2012 at Salem Baptist Church, 4949 Prince Street, Conway, AR. Visitation will be 6-7 pm Friday at the funeral home. Interment Salem Cemetery.
Arrangements entrusted to Larry G. Acklin Funeral Home, 910 Walnut Street, Conway.
