Walnut Ridge - Funeral for Roy F Boyd, 51 retired Strawberry (Lawrence County) famer who died in a Batesville hospital Wednesday, was yesterday in the Union Baptist Church near Calamine in Sharp County. Burial was in Lancaster Cemetery by Higginbotham Funeral Home. He had resided in the Strawberry area most of his life. Survivors include his widow: a son, James R Boyd of Strawberry; two daughters, Mrs. Betty Horton of Lawton, Okla, and Miss Shirley Boyd of Strawberry; his mother Mrs. Pearl Wright of Hoxie, and five brothers. Luther Boyd, Edward Boyd, Joe Boyd and Robert Boyd of Nettleton and Ernest Boyd of Poughkeepsie.
