Thomas Allen Cockerham, 69, of New Boston, Texas, formerly of Stamps, Ark, died Friday, Jan. 14, 2005, in a New Boston nursing home. Mr. Cockerham was born March 17, 1935, in Jena, La. He was a retired truck driver and a member of New Boston American Legion and Calvary Baptist Church, Stamps. He was preceded in death by his wife, Delores Jo McDonald Cockerham. Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Rodney and Debbie Cockerham of New Boston and Mark and Lisa Cockerham of League City, Texas0; one brother and sister-in-law, Ken and Laura Cockerham of Sulphur Springs, Texas; one sister and brother-in-law, Virginia and Buster Brazzel of Stamps; and five grandchildren. Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Monday in Lakeside Cemetery with Mike Turner officiating. Burial will be under direction of Smith Funeral Home. Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Delores Cockerham 46,of Stamps, Ark died Thursday in a Texarkana hospital of natural causes. Services will be 3 p.m. Sunday at Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Stamps, with the Rev. Johnny Johnston and Joe Dickey officiating. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery. Mrs. Cockerham was born February 27,1941 in Stamps. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, Stamps, and an employee of Hamilton Grocery. Survivors include her husband, Thomas Cockerham of Stamps; two sons, Rodney Cockerham of Buckner, Ark; and Mark Cockerham of Houston, Texas; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. B.W. McDonald of Stamps; and three grandchildren.
