Manuel Leon 'Tom' Barnard, 72, of Monticello, passed away Saturday, July 2, 2011 at his home. He was born May 12, 1939 in Drew County.
He was a retired construction worker and a U. S. Navy Veteran. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marie and parents, Manuel and Evelyn Barnard.
Survivors include two sons, Ruben Barnard of Williston, South Carolina and Daniel Barnard of Batesville; four brothers, Charles Barnard and wife, Mary and James C. Barnard and wife, Marsha, all of Monticello, Jerry Barnard and wife, Becky of Collins and Larry Joe Barnard and wife, Donna of Vicksburg, MS; four sisters, Oledia Crook and husband, Henry of Monticello, Carolyn Sue Flory and husband, John of Bastrop, LA, Linda Kay Robinson and husband, Joe of Batesville and Sandra Legg and husband, John of Bastrop, LA; two grandsons, Rhett and Randy of Williston, South Carolina, and other family and friends in South Carolina and Monticello.
